Contract Scope
Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Long Harbour Processing Plant in Long Harbour, NL.
The scope of work for this package includes the supply of all construction installation personnel, equipment, services and consumable materials to complete the safe installation of the terminations to the already installed fibre optics cables and other telecom cables. The fibre optics work will be on mono-mode and multi-mode cables, and will involve primarily SC type connectors. Some fibre splicing and installation of pig-tails may be required. The data terminations are defined as CAT 6 cable termination for IT, DCS, Security Access Control and other as needed. The contractor must have the ability to provide materials upon request (cable, racks, BIX panels, cable management, UTP panels, etc). The contractor will also be called upon to provide emergency repair services to the plant. The work area covers the total Long Harbour Processing Plant.
The main preliminary quantities for installation are:
· Data terminations: 1500
· Small cable runs: 750
· Terminating FO : 750
Schedule:
· Mobilization: mid September 2015
· Completion: end December 2016
