Contract Scope

<p><html> <body topmargin="1" leftmargin="1" marginwidth="1" marginheigth="1"></body><body topmargin="1" leftmargin="1" marginwidth="1" marginheigth="1"></body><body topmargin="1" leftmargin="1" marginwidth="1" marginheigth="1"></body></html></p><p><html><body topmargin="1" leftmargin="1" marginwidth="1" marginheigth="1">Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Long Harbour Processing Plant in Long Harbour, NL.</body></html></p><p>Description: Overflow Engineering Summary</p><p> <p>Vale’s objective is to have unilateral Overflow Engineering Agreements for Ontario, Manitoba, and Newfoundland, which will be implemented in the Spring of 2022 holding a duration of three years.</p> <p>The Purpose of Vale’s Overflow Engineering Program is to help support all aspects of our Business Operations to streamline engineering services following the requirements of Vale’s Engineering Standards/SPECs. These services include FEL studies, inspections and reporting, engineering designs, and estimating for both operating and capital type projects involving new facilities or modifications to existing facilities. </p> <p>Scope of Engineering Services</p> <p>Typical Scope of Engineering Services can include the following: </p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Engineering and Design for the following disciplines: </li> <ul type="circle"> <li>Process</li> <li>Civil / Structural</li> <li>Mechanical / Piping</li> <li>Electrical & Instrumentation</li> <li>High Voltage</li> <li>Mining Infrastructure</li> <li>Proponent to include any other discipline based on their expertise and strength within the attached excel sheet for Vale to consider</li> </ul> <li>FEL (i.e. Feasibility or Front-End Loading). Studies and Estimate preparation</li> <li>Process hazards Reviews (PHR)</li> <li>Equipment specifications</li> <li>Data sheets</li> <li>Functional specifications / descriptions</li> <li>3D Laser Scanning</li> <li>Permitting applications</li> <li>Burner management systems, Programming, and Commissioning</li> <li>Post Issued for Construction (PIFC) engineering support</li> </ul> <p>RFI Schedule of Requirements from Proponents:</p> <p>Proponents are requested to submit the following information:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Detailed Work Plan (less than five pages) for understanding of Vale’s Overflow Engineering Program and Processes. Document may include the following:</li> <ul type="circle"> <li>Explanation regarding how the Consultant will receive and execute multiple engineering requests from Vale Description of Project Delivery System</li> <li>Demonstration of experience with an overflow style contract by describing the process or a specific example</li> </ul> <li>Proposed Organizational Structure that would be tailored for Vale’s Overflow Engineering Program, along with any sub-consultants </li> <li>Single page CV of key personnel across all disciplines with the expertise and capabilities for Vale’s Overflow Engineering projects</li> <li>Completed Excel Overflow RFI Workbook for Local Resourcing / Consultant Resource Registry / Understanding Overflow.</li> </ul> <p>Note: In case you have received this Request for Information already by Vale Procurement directly then you do not need to respond to this request.</p> <br /></p>
