Contract Scope

Performance of the Work shall be in accordance with the following schedule: Work shall be completed between the period of 30 May 2019- 30 Sept 2019. Suggested schedule shall include the following milestones:

  • All equipment and associated freight ready for shipment at Vale’s designated pickup location two days prior to shipping date of July 15th, 2019

  • All equipment mobilized to site, unloaded and ready to commence work by July 24th, 2019

  • Performance of required operation completed by July 26th, 2019

  • All equipment and associated freight packed and ready for demobilization at the port in Voisey’s Bay by Aug 9th, 2019

  • Demobilization of all Contractor Personnel by Aug 10th

  • Submittal of final report summarizing operation activities, findings etc. by Sept 1st.

     

  1. Scope

    1. General

      1. The general scope of the works includes the use of coiled tubing services to remove deposit build-up from the waste water pipeline.

         

      2. All work required by this scope of work is to be completed by qualified, competent workers.  Contractor is to provide all documentation pertaining to the qualifications, including CV’s of individual included in proposed team. Information to be provided with bid.

         

      3. Contractor is to ensure that the work areas associated with the coiled tubing cleanout project is kept tidy, free of clutter, and accessible to the Company’s personnel.  All site safety and environmental policies and procedures are to be complied with throughout the entirety of this project.

         

      4. Vale will provide a primary point of contact to assist with coordination of all actives for the Work at site through the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department or designate.

 

      1. The Contractor shall supply a copy of their quality assurance manual upon award of the contract.  The Contractor shall also submit to the company a copy of their quality control checks, prior to the commencement of the work.

 

      1. The Contractor shall work within acceptable limits of the pipeline as defined by the pipe manufacturer and defined by Vale’s Fixed Plant Maintenance Department. 

 

      1. The Contractor shall advise Vale of any equipment performance concerns before and/or during the cleanout.
