Contract Scope

1   To complete semi-annual inspections and necessary repairs to the Ansul Fire Suppression systems on 105 pieces of mobile equipment.  These pieces of equipment are divided into three categories (i) 50 pieces of surface equipment (ii) 70 pieces of underground equipment for Reid Brook Mine (iii) 64 pieces of equipment for Eastern Deeps Mine.

3.1.2    Attached is a list of 50 pieces of surface equipment that are available to be inspected at this time. As machines are replaced the actual models of the equipment may change but the vendor charges will encompass 50 total units.  Also attached is a list of 70 pieces of equipment for Reid Brook mine that are to be added to the list for inspection as the company takes possession of said equipment and begins production from Reid Brook Mine or at an appropriate time determined by the company.  At this point the vendor charges will encompass 78 total units.  Additionally, attached is a list of 64 pieces of equipment that are to be added to the list as the company takes possession and begins production from Eastern Deeps Mine or at an appropriate time determined by the company.  At this point the vendor charges will encompass 105 total units.

3.1.3    The vendor will produce an equipment inspection report for each unit, detailing the required repairs, the parts used with the part numbers, the labor hours used to complete the repair, and a cost estimate to repair as required by the company, (Vale, Voisey’s Bay).

3.1.4          To complete work on the required equipment Fire Suppression Technicians may have to enter the underground mines to access various pieces of equipment.

3.2.5          Fire Suppression Technicians may be required to service or inspect additional or unlisted pieces of equipment as required by the company for the agreed upon hourly rate.
