Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL. Scope of Work

Portal construction.  Includes - ground support of pre-shear portal face; ties-ins to services provided at laydown area; develop 20m in each portal; remove move rock to designate storage areas; install temporary ventilation system. Main decline development from the portal excavations.  Including safety bays, remuck, decline crossovers, temporary sumps, electrical rooms, and raisebore stations within this scope. Development will include installation of services and all primary and secondary ground support. Vale will; provide the equipment, consumables and bulk materials.  Lateral development, declines connecting levels and level infrastructure.  Including safety bays, storages, permanent refuge stations, sumps, electrical rooms, service bays excavations, raisebore stations and Allimak nests. Development will include water lines, temporary ventilation and electrical supply being advanced at the same rate with primary and secondary ground support. Vale will provide; consumables and bulk materials.  Underground Consumables. Contractor will be responsible to provide all underground consumables including but not limited to miscellaneous mining supplies, lumber, dry mix cement and shotcrete, tools and electrical consumables.
