Contract Scope

Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Underground Mining Processing Plant in Underground Mining, NL. 

General Overview: Main Logistics Contract that will include the provision of Freight Forwarding (within the scope), Customs Clearance (within the scope), Consolidation Yard Operation(CS0005), Stevedoring (CS0008) and Ocean Transport (CS0032), use of existing shipping options (Umiak i) (CS0033), coordination of any air freight needs (CS0006). The Master Logistics Services Contractor (MLSC) will act as a 'control tower' for the other sub-contracts and will be responsible to track performance, cross contract coordination and provide daily, weekly and monthly reports. Primary subcontracts identified as separate packages will be awarded by Vale. Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance. This will include all logistics activities required to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the consolidation yard in support of the construction schedule. This will include all domestic trucking, international shipping and air freight. Freight tracking, marine survey, International packaging. This contract will cover the coordination of all of the logistics related contracts.
