Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL Underground Communications System.

The scope of services includes the design, supply, configuration, commissioning, training and support for an underground communications system utilizing push-to-talk smartphones. This system’s core functionality must meet or exceed that of a traditional radio system in that it offers push-to-talk, hardened field devices, robust architecture with near 100% uptime. The system must be proven in a harsh northern climate and underground environment, fully supported by the supplier.
