Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL.

Scope of Work

This package includes:

• Complete permanent E-House for Reid Brook portal including medium voltage switchgear 13.8 KV and low voltage unit substation 600 V, including step down dry type transformer 13.8 kV I 600V, 1000 kVA.
• Complete permanent E-House for Eastern Deeps portal including medium voltage switchgear 13.8 kV and low voltage unit substation 600 V, including step down dry type transformer 13.8 kV /600 V, 2000 kVA.
• Portable substation 1000 kVA, 1000 V complete with 13.8 kV switch, dry type transformer and 1000 V distribution circuits for Reid Brook mining equipment
• Portable substation 1500 kVA, 600 V complete with 13.8 kV switch, dry type transformer and 600 V distribution circuits for Reid Brook surface loads
• Portable substation 1500 kVA,  1000 V complete with 13.8 kV switch, dry type transformer and 1000 V distribution circuits for Eastern Deeps mining equipment.
• Portable substation 1500 kVA, 600 V complete with 13.8 kV switch, dry type transformer and 600 V distribution circuits for Eastern Deeps surface loads.
• All E-houses shall be totally enclosed, heated and ventilated, complete with lighting and fire protection/detection  and all required accessories.

The scope of work includes the design, supply of material, fabrication, shop testing and shall be complete including all materials and accessories necessary to complete the assembly  and commissioning  of all portable electrical substations and a-houses. The scope includes delivery to the consolidation yard.  The scope includes oversight to inspect, advise and approve the installation  at site. Excludes foundations and cabling between e-houses and portable substations.
