Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL.

Scope of Work

This package includes:

• Drill bits, drill steel, drill rods; consist of the items required for the drilling machines for boring holes in the rock.
• The list of items required for this will be jumbo drill steel 4.8 meters in length, bolter drill steel 3 meters long and drill pipe 1.3 meters long for the ITH production drills.
• There will be drill bits needed for each of these drills from 45mm for the jumbo, 32 mm for the bolter and 114 mm for the ITH drills.
• These will be consumed on a regular basis for the life of mine.
• Striking bars will also be required for all the drilling equipment (as per OEM spec).
• The cable bolter will require 50 mm bits and drill rods as per manufacture specifications.
