Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL.

Scope of Work

The scope of this package is for the distribution of Victaulic brand materials. Vale has a manufacturer’s agreement with Victaulic and a competitive process will take place in order to select a distributor with the ability to warehouse and supply the Victaulic materials. Victaulic will sell to that distributor at the Canadian Vale negotiated price. The prospect distributors will be asked in the RFP to propose the margin they are willing to sell at Vale at and so the stock levels they will agree to store. Victaulic fittings (for underground) 4 and 6 inch fittings will be used for the piping installations in the ramps. There will be a number of different configurations to reduce to as low as 2 inch. Offset elbows will be required in the standard sizes of 22,45,90 degree. Victaulic couplings for all sizes of pipes 2,4,6,8 inch pipe will be required for the installation as the mine is developed.
