Contract Scope

Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL.                                                                                                

Scope of Work:

General Overview: This package includes the design, fabricate, supply, modularize or pre-assemble (as applicable) of the tramp removal and conveyor feed system and conveyors and stackers required to deliver ore from underground to surface stockpiles. The Eastern Deeps system also delivers development waste from underground to surface stockpiles.

Heavy duty vibrating feeders to feed abrasive and corrosive underground nickel ore (lump size 350 mm x 350 mm) with moisture content 4% and density 2.06 t/m3. The feeders shall be capable of feeding over a range of 207 tonnes/h to 414 tonnes/h with and accuracy of +/-1% minute to minute.  These feeders withdraw ore containing tramp metal from underground storage bins at Reid Brook and Eastern Deeps and feed picking conveyors where the tramp metal is removed.

Also include the design, supply and fabrication of chute and plate work related to the Underground Bulk Material Handling system.
