Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL

 Scope of Work:

General Overview - This package includes all raise boring from surface to underground and between levels underground. It also includes the drilling utility holes from surface to underground. Contractor is to provide labor, raise boring equipment (power supply). Contractor to design and install temporary sumps to contain all cuttings and run off. A representative from the contractor will need to be available early to sign off on the set preparations. Contractor to provide temporary power at Eastern Deeps and Reid Brook. Water supplied by Vale by water truck. Contractor will install raise collars. Contractor will construct & install surface ventilation facilities

The Contractor will be able to develop and contract the following:

1. Raise boring - Various diameter reamers for ore passes, ventilation air raises at Eastern Deeps and Reid Brook. These dimensions will range from 1.3m to 6m.

2. Utility holes - Drill and complete holes from the surface to underground for utilities distribution and paste reticulation. The utility holes drilled from surface will be performed by the raise bore drill and underground service holes will be completed with the production drill when it arrives on site.

3. Vertical Development - Alimak Raising of: ventilation raises, service raise, escapeways, ore bins. Contractor to provide labour and materials (Alimak / Rail / Alicab) to conduct vertical development.
