<p>Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL. </p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="'font-family:" "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;'>Operating of louvers (ventilation regulators) or round dampers are used to control flow rates in underground workings.   Louver/ dampers working in conjunction with primary or secondary ventilation fans are used to adjust the airflow across the level footwall drifts.     A louver assembly may consist of multiple louver (regulator) units mounted in louver frames. Vendor to define number of actuators to control each louver unit.  Equipment shall be designed to run 24 hour per day, 7 days a week. </span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="'font-family:" "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;'>  </span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="'font-family:" "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;'>Louver shall be self supporting (i.e. installed in a shotcrete bulkhead) with no external supports required. Vendor to supply structure steel frame(s) complete nelson studs for embedment into the shotcrete bulkhead. Multiple louver configurations are to be supplied, such as a fixed louver and swing style louver to allow access to ventilation raise to remove loose materials. All louver shall be operable from an automated control stem as well as remote local control panel separate from the actuators local control units.</span></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="'font-family:" "Arial",sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;'><br /> Round butterfly isolation damper, electrical actuated, with infinite control actuator and proximately switches are also to be provided in the package..</span></p><p><br /></p>
