Vale Newfoundland & Labrador Limited (Vale NL) are inviting submissions of an Expression of Interest for a potential opportunity to support the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project in Voisey’s Bay, NL -

A fully mechanized cable bolting drill rig is required for the installation of 15.2mm diameter single and double strand cable bolts up to approximately 20m (60ft) in length and varying hole sizes (nominally 51mm to 76mm diameter). These cable bolts will be installed in development and production areas of Reid Brook and Eastern Deeps underground mines. The fully mechanized cable bolting drill rig shall be a fully integrated unit including: rubber tired drill carrier with Tier IV Final diesel engine and enclosed cab; 1000V power pack; onboard compressor; production drill boom with rod carousel; cable bolt insertion and grout boom with cable cutting and bending; cable bolt storage reel; storage, mixing and pumping of dry cement cable grout with automated grout mix quality system; and an automated control system with design input, logging, reporting, network access and remote access capability.
